“Dear PoPville,

What’s up with the Marshalls in Friendship Heights?? They closed in the middle of day on the 9th with no notice and as of Friday seem to still be closed. First they take away the TJ Maxx (which has been closed for ages) and now this? What gives??” (more…)

2319 Wisconsin Ave, NW

Well breath deeply either way…

Prior to Glover Tobacco this space was home to Glover Books & Music, Tennis Zone and most recently a bank ATM.

And now I’m going to wonder the streets trying to remember Glover Books & Music. I may shake a fist or two at the sky. But I’ll be alright. The birds will cheer me up.

3124 M Street, NW previously home to Atmos Sneakers

“Thoughtfully considered luggage and travel pieces – designed with intention, crafted with care, and made to last. B Corp Certified.”

Mono’s website says:

“We believe in having fewer but better things. That’s why we decided from the outset that every single part we use matters, and every little detail counts. We sourced the highest quality parts and materials from around the world, and if we couldn’t find a component that met our standards, we worked with industry experts to make it ourselves.”

Connecticut and R Street, NW

Thanks to Martin for sending:

“So I just walked by the (former) Dupont 7-11 and noticed there was no longer a sign on the door and it appeared to be open. Walked in to find half the store cleared out, but a single guy sitting behind the counter staring at his phone. He said 7-11 is gone but they are going to re-open as an independent bodega-type store.

Stay tuned.
