451 K St, NW

Back in Nov. 2010 Ray’s Hell Burger owner Michael Landrum confirmed he was opening 2 spots in the City Vista building at 5th and K St, NW. We recently saw that the planned bakery, RYSE, unfortunately fell through at 1045 5th St, NW and that space will now become a Sweetgreen. I had been hearing rumors that second spot fell through as well. But just last week I heard some potentially great news – the second spot at 451 K St, NW next to Mandu had been leased once again to Mr. Landrum. The scuttlebutt I heard was that he planned on having it function as a Ray’s Hell Burger during the day and a Ray’s the Steaks at night. Knock wood, knock wood. It would be wild given the apparent serious issues with the landlord but stranger things have happened. More info as it becomes available.
