Alan Henney reported some disturbing details:
“2 WOMEN SHOT IN UBER — in the area of Georgia Ave and Harvard St NW DC. Two women were shot in the legs while their Uber was taking them between clubs. He drove them directly to the hospital after gunfire came through the Uber.”
Earlier from MPD: “Alert: Shooting Investigation at 2156 hours in the 1900 block of 8th Street NW. Lookout for 4 B/Ms. DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911″

“New Jersey Avenue and Q St NW. right across from The Garden.
The city changed the traffic configuration on New Jersey Ave about 3 months ago and installed a few new permanent parking spots across from The Garden. It looks like someone drove straight into a parked car last night which then caused the parked car to slam into another parked car. It appears as though the driver backed up and took off, but left part of their front bumper in the process.”

From MPD: “The Third District is investigating a shooting which occurred approximately 12:10am at 1400 V St NW. Two adult males received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. Anyone with information can call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.”
Mike notes: “Believe this is the … 7th shooting on this corner in the last 12 months by my count”
Another reader reported hearing: “probably 25-30 shots.”

“MTPD on scene w/ @DCPoliceDept at 14th & Sheridan NW. 2 children shot & transported to the hospital. They were shot after exiting the bus. Circumstances of how/where shooting occurred still being determined & whether MTPD or MPD will lead the investigation.”
