The GoFundMe says:

“On Thursday evening January 18, my precious nephew Ryan Realbuto was walking home from a youth gathering at church with two of his friends when he was shot and killed. While they were walking, a car pulled up, the men asked for money, one person got out of the car, and when no one produced any cash, the person shot Ryan. His roommate pressed on his wound and called 911, however Ryan died shortly after at a local hospital. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating the death of a man after a traffic crash on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

At approximately 1:01 a.m., an adult male pedestrian was crossing 16th Street in or about the south crosswalk at 16th Street and Newton Street, Northwest. As the pedestrian was crossing the street, a Toyota Camry traveling northbound on 16th Street, struck the pedestrian, and fled the scene. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are asking for the community’s assistance to identify a suspect who lit a man on fire in Northwest DC.

On Monday, January 15, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., the suspect poured a liquid on the victim at the intersection of North Capitol Street and P Street Northwest. The suspect then ignited the liquid. The suspect then ran off. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

M. reports around 6:40pm last night (Wed.): “At the four-way intersection of 1st and N Streets NW, 100 yards from the entrance to Dunbar HS. An intersection that feeds onto NY Ave and is mayhem during rush hours.”
