The Baltimore Sun reports the 150 year sentence and:
“Poindexter was convicted of assaulting five men, but prosecutors believe there are at least two dozen more victims, based on videos and photos they say Poindexter took of the assaults. Prosecutors say Poindexter met several of the men at beer pong tournaments, including one at a bar in College Park.”
Previously we learned the assaults took place after events at “various bars in the D.C. and Baltimore area” over 10 years.

“Just wanted to pass along info that there’s been a number of daytime burglaries around R and S streets in Bloomingdale. My house was broken into, laptops stolen at 1st and R street, and police said there have been many lately.”
One reader writes:
“Around 11:50 today I heard about seven or so shots near Varnum and 8th NW, some squealing tires, and then saw a guy running in the alley behind Varnum toward Grant Circle.
I called 911 right as I saw the car go by. The Police now have Varnum between 9th and 8th blocked off, as well as that block’s alley on the north side of Varnum. I just spoke with one of the officers who said they had a really good description of several individuals and had actually just had a report of more shots fired “a few blocks north”, maybe Buchanan area.
Crazy, right in the middle of the day. I just saw a group of kids in a daycare class walk by not minutes before the shots were fired. Unbelievable.”
UPDATE from MPD:
“At 11:56 am MPD units responded for sounds of gunshot in the 800 block of Varnum Street, Northwest. During the canvass several shell casings and a handgun were recovered.”
From MPD:
“On today’s date [Sunday] at around 3:45PM, a citizen in the 1200 block of Linden Place, Northeast, questioned a subject regarding standing in front of an abandoned property in the block. The subject then approached the citizen and engaged in a physical assault. The citizen sustained facial injuries as a result of the assault.
First District personnel responded to the scene and apprehended the subject who was placed under arrest and charged accordingly.”

A reader reports:
“Someone was stabbed in my front lawn last night around 130am on the 4000 block of Illinois. Apparently it was a result of some sort of fight. There were lots of police and the victim was taken away in an ambulance.
We woke up to fighting and screaming. It was really crazy — the victim was laying in a pool of blood right inside our gate.
I haven’t seen any police reports either which is odd because there was quite a big police presence plus the ambulance and later a firetruck came to clean up the blood – I think the H St. incident yesterday is overshadowing everything else that happened.”
