Last night I was enjoying date night at Doi Moi when someone opened my purse hanging off my chair and stole my wallet. I’m devastated and feeling like my faith in humanity is broken since this is the second time in 1 year I’ve been robbed. I didn’t see who did it and didn’t notice it was gone until I got a fraud alert from my bank. I send this in to warn people to not let your guard down like I did. Readers reported just before 1pm: “Sounded like 20 rounds fired around Crittenden/Decatur and 9th Street. Automatic weapon fire.”

“Police response to semi automatic weapon shooting at 9th and Decatur”

From MPD: “Shooting Investigation 4700 block of 9th Street, NW”

Zach Israel reported: “Just heard reports of AR 15s being fired near Decatur and 9th Streets NW, with around 50 shots being fired.”

Alan Henney reported: “Numerous shots were fired, both handgun and rifle rounds reported. Nobody found at the scene shot, but now two have walked into hospitals with gunshot wounds, presumably from this location.”

On late Friday night/Saturday morning at 3:15 am (March 26th), I was woken up in my sleep by a man grouping me and hanging over my bed. I was able to chase him out the back door. He decided to pick the lock at our back door, walk up the stairs, and enter my bedroom. He walked past my dresser with valuables that could have easily stolen and when I woke up, he began to apologize and ran. (more…)

Not talking about petit jury service (one trial) or grand jury service at the DC courts (27 days of service).
