“Dear PoPville,
Missed connection on Sunday 2/20 on MBT next to Noma Station. Our respective Red Lab dog and puppy made chatting easy and when we walked back by each other the other direction I should have asked for your number instead of hoping for running into each other at the dog park. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Time and location: Saturday morning (2/19) at about ~11am in Rock Creek Park. You seemed like the backwards-hat-cool-guy type? We had a flirty exchange in which we discussed free stuff on sidewalks and an improv tournament(?) that you signed up for. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Hoping you can help with a missed connection Saturday night at Cuba Libre. My friends and I were dancing near a man & woman (who seemed to just be friends) for a while. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I was at the Safeway in Adams Morgan on Saturday morning (2/12) getting doughnuts for a party when a guy stopped by me and mentioned he didn’t realize Safeway made fresh bagels. We started talking about baked goods and joked about whether or not he should get one (he ended up grabbing a bagel and a doughnut) and we said bye to each other. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I was on a non-Valentines Day date on Valentine’s Day, and my Hinge match brought me to Underground Comedy at The Eaton (he was very intentional in saying that it wasn’t a V-Day date). The show was lots of fun, and I completely love The Eaton. The crowd seemed to be full of couples like us – on a first or second date.
To be clear, my date wasn’t bad. He’s a nice enough guy, and I liked the spontaneity with which the date came together. I just didn’t get that immediate *click* with him. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Missed connection at Blaguard on Valentine’s Day. We had a three-way conversation with the bartender about his dog. I was at the end of the bar wearing a gray sweater and sporting what my mom very recently referred to as a “cute Beatles mop top if you would just lose the ugly mustache and beard”.
In any case, maybe you would like to meet back at Blaguard sometime for another beer.”

“Dear PoPville,
Missed connection on the S2 morning bus (Wednesday morning.) He commented on my book. Strange coincidence in that he had just finished reading it despite it not being a recent release and sci-fi while was a non-fiction reader. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Tuesday was tortuous, but your ‘delightful’ attitude and questions about work made checkout at the Florida Ave Trader Joe’s enjoyable. I was in your checkout line around 7pm Tuesday night and we talked labor unions- you said you were supportive! If you somehow see this and are interested, I’d love to buy you a beer and discuss unions!”
Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.
