“Dear PoP,

Howdy. With your vast intelligence and informant network, have you heard anything about the work that’s going on in the building on the SE corner of 13th and Park? It’s a big house right across from the Park Market, and looks like it’s going to be condo-fied, or maybe something commercial. Lots of below-the-radar construction going on, but no real public news about it. Just curious if you’d heard of anything…”

Yup, it’s gonna be 5 condos from Capital City Real Estate:

I’ve been getting lots of emails from readers about this one but I wanted the building to progress a bit. I was really surprised to see how tall it is. This is of course the Redstone condo project located at 3577 Warder St, NW across from the Bruce-Monroe Elementary School and Park View Rec Center.

Here’s the rendering:

I think I’ve said it before but I’m glad it’s gonna break up the yellow theme a bit. You guys like the rendering?

Below is a closeup at the moment. More photos as progress continues.

We actually judged the back of this rowhouse after a reader sent in a photo back in April. I recently got an email from the owners who share some info:

“Our building – that we recently renovated (to 95% or so complete) – is very near there and I’ve attached a photo of the rear of the building – which is through the alley (off 4th street). The metal pipe structure is scheduled to have hops growing on them sometime soon.”

Turns out they are architectural firm – Wiebenson & Dorman Architects PC and you can see a bit of the inside here.

I think this Georgetown one is pretty interesting because it looks like it might be (relatively) new construction. Do you like the style?
