but alas it is a rather dignified bulldog. Also cool.

I love how these windows jut out. What do you call them, bay windows yeah? Super fresh.

Again, great detail here.

Props all around for this photo. A reader sent me this link from Flickr, so thanks Andrew. And it turns out it is a photo from one of my favorite bloggers and the author of PoP’s Intangible Tales – Intangible Arts who has done his own post on this photo here. The fact that they couldn’t fit all the shutters is just too funny. If I were one to build a house, this is exactly the mistake I would make.

This is for Bogfrog: I’ll re-ask the question – In the hierarchy of roof decks, balconies, and porches which reigns supreme?

Ed. Note: In case I haven’t mentioned it before, from time to time, it can be very unsettling walking through alleys even in the daytime. As I was admiring this wild renovation I stumbled upon a guy chilling on his back steps. He turned out to be a perfectly nice guy but It was just a bit unsettling. So if you don’t see any new posts from me after a couple of days, I’d like someone to call the police for me. Thanks.

When I used to visit my Grandma in Hallendale, Florida there were condos like this all over the place. I think if I bought one of these near the 9:30 club I’d be pretty pissed there was no view of the intracoastal.

So in the hierarchy of cool places to hang out, what is the order of balconies, porches, and roof decks. I guess roof decks have to be number one, yeah?

I definitely think this is of the old school variety. Can you tell the difference between old stained glass and newer stained glass? What do you look for?
