Animal Fix

AdoPtville is run by a volunteer who compiles these pets weekly from local shelters.

Allen is waiting patiently for his furever family to find him. He has a shiny black coat, with cute pink linings in his ears. Given space and a little time to get acclimated, his personality really blossoms. He reveals himself to be energetic and curious and will literally dance for joy right in front of you! You’ll want to spend some time at his level (i.e., get on the floor to interact with him), as his past experience with people hasn’t left him with a great impression of humankind. But if you’re willing to let him be himself and take time to watch his behavior and learn his language, he’ll be a loving companion for a long time to come.

Meet Ace! This 3 y/o, 60 lb Redtick hound mix is an energetic, loving companion. He adores long walks, sniffs, and being outside with his human. He is a people “person” and wants to greet everyone he sees. He’s also a fan of other dogs, and is on his best behavior when meeting a new pup. Mealtime puzzles are a source of great fun for Ace! He enjoys being with his human while playing in the yard and is fascinated by all the smells during his walks. Ace knows several words: sit, spin, come, and up, and he is still learning more! Chopin is a beautiful kitty with long soft black fur! This sweet 2 y/o, 7 lb Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) has striking eyes, which have a stunning yellow-green hue. She is very social and likes to be part of any action that is taking place in her home. Chopin enjoys having someone to be around and is an excellent WFH companion. She is an absolute snuggle monster. She is always on a mission for chin or ear scratches and if you find the right spot, her affectionate nature will shine through. This kitty is energetic and vocal – she is fierce and will make sure you hear her meow (which, in her mind, she thinks is a roar)! Morris is, objectively speaking, The Best Kitty. This handsome fellow loves the people, the kitties, the dogs, and his food–not necessarily in that order. His foster mom says that, if she picks Morris up and cuddles with him in bed, he’ll stay with her all night long, purring. But he’s good with his kitty bed, too. Morris is also an excellent supervisor, if you work from home: he’ll perch beside your desk to be near you, and is even willing to do his part to make sure your paperwork doesn’t blow away. Morris is thoughtful that way. He’s also a toy boi who will chase a feather stick or yarn ball, or, really, anything you’ve got. (And wait till you see the trick he’ll do for a treat!) More than anything, know that this incredibly sweet boy has seen some things and yet he’s the most wonderful, big-hearted kitty you’ll meet. Maybe he sounds like someone you know–maybe even you. Morris longs for someone to see his value and give him the forever home that he dreams of. Loving, playful, easy, helpful, loyal…Morris is perfect, really. Might you be his perfect person? Holmes is a velvety, sweet, and gentle black shadow who will follow you around the house with curiosity, seeking out opportunities for affection or an extra treat. This goofball LOVES to play fetch and tug-of-war and will flop over for belly rubs with a dramatic sigh (if he’s tired out from chasing his own tail). He is a 6 m/o, 55 lb Lab mix who sprints circles around his friends at the dog park, when he’s not rolling over or gently hopping to initiate a wrestle/romp session. This smart and eager-to-please pup (he already knows “sit,” and is working on “place” and “stay”) is one friendly guy! Holmes is looking for a furever family who will help him redirect his puppy energy away from chewing houseplants and toward things like being the best hiking and work-from-home buddy anyone could ask for. Skittles is a rainbow of personality! While he may take some time to warm up to his new home and humans, he will make a great addition to your family. Skittles is full of energy and loves to explore and climb. His legs may be small, but they don’t seem to slow him down one bit! Skittles is also very excited by hay and loves to show off his “popcorning” skills when you give him some! His other favorite veggies are lettuce and spinach, and so far he hasn’t met a fruit he doesn’t like. Skittles is still learning to love carrots and broccoli, though.

Skittles would love to be in a home that has room for him to run around and lots of places to hide when he gets shy. He does well being handled and does not bite.
