“The lost cat’s name is Copper and he’s an 8 year old, neutered male, big fluffy orange striped kitty. We think he’s got some Maine coon cat in him. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat. We live in Petworth on Illinois Ave. between Upshur and Taylor; he tends to hang out in our backyard and back ally area off of Fifth street. Generally, while he loves to be outside prowling around, he doesn’t stray very far and always comes back for food and a nap. We haven’t seen him since Monday. If anyone has any info or has seen a big orange fluff ball wandering around the neighborhood, please shoot me an email at [email protected].”

“I am emailing you this photo from Istanbul with the hopes of getting this wonderful cat picture published. We are here on holiday and it turns out Istanbul is the stray cat capital of the world! There are some 300,000 of them here! These are not your normal straggly strays but rather well fed and cared for beauties. The culture in Turkey is one which states “kill a cat, and one must build a Mosque”. The cats have become very good at “working” the out door cafes, as this little one is. Anyway, reading the Prince in Istanbul!”
