“We are currently fostering Stormy, a sweet senior little lady who found herself at the animal shelter when her previous owner could no longer care for her. Stormy is a total lovebug, with her favorite activities being cuddles and belly rubs. She has a tendency to snore and enjoys nothing more than cozying up on a warm lap after trotting around on her walk around the block. She also likes having her hair brushed out and looks adorable after her trip to our local groomer for a nice “summer ‘do.” She is friendly with other small dogs and walks well on a leash, bouncing along while stopping occasionally to smell the roses. She’d probably be fine with calm, older children. Most importantly, Stormy is looking for a loving forever home who will give her peace, stability and kindness for the rest of her golden years. Stormy is available for adoption through the Washington Humane Society. To learn more about Stormy, please contact [email protected] or visit the Washington Humane Society’s website.”

“I’d like to introduce you to the most epicurean cat in the Columbia Heights community: meet, Hops.

Hops loves food. Some live to eat, Hops would sacrifice all 9 of his lives to eat.

But don’t let his name deceive you. He has not yet widened his palate enough to include beer. He’s only two after all (though I guess that may be of age in cat.)”
