Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“This is Lucky…longtime Dupont Circle resident but now new to the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood. She misses watching birds but has taken up watching traffic on New York Ave instead. Looking for play dates and new kitty friends.”

“We are currently fostering Stormy, a sweet senior little lady who found herself at the animal shelter when her previous owner could no longer care for her. Stormy is a total lovebug, with her favorite activities being cuddles and belly rubs. She has a tendency to snore and enjoys nothing more than cozying up on a warm lap after trotting around on her walk around the block. She also likes having her hair brushed out and looks adorable after her trip to our local groomer for a nice “summer ‘do.” She is friendly with other small dogs and walks well on a leash, bouncing along while stopping occasionally to smell the roses. She’d probably be fine with calm, older children. Most importantly, Stormy is looking for a loving forever home who will give her peace, stability and kindness for the rest of her golden years. Stormy is available for adoption through the Washington Humane Society. To learn more about Stormy, please contact [email protected] or visit the Washington Humane Society’s website.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
