“Hello friends! Say hello to Moochie, an approximately 2-to-3-year-old kitty found outside wandering around by herself, in heat. She’s been to the vet to be spayed and is now ready for her forever, indoor, comfy home. Moochie has a sweet purrsonality and a gentle disposition. She’s affectionate and LOVES people, but does not enjoy the company of other cats (can you say diva, Moochie?) so her ideal home won’t have other kitties in it. Moochie has a pretty, light-colored coat in what you could call spice colors, with short, silky fur, green eyes, and the “M” for Moochie on her forehead! She is very loving with volunteers and will do well in a calm home. She’s old enough to be past the kitten stage, but young enough to be a lot of fun! Please go here to find out more about adopting Moochie, or email [email protected]

Meet Murphy. This handsome boy was taken in by his foster dad when he lost his home. He is a gentle, sweet soul, who is great with kids, and has lived with kids his whole life. He’s a little shy and more submissive by nature, loves to snuggle, and is very laid back inside the home. Murphy loves other dogs and really needs a pup buddy in his home to keep him company. He likes to play, but he’s not a rough and tumble player. He lived with 2 small dogs in his prior home, and is very respectful interacting with friends who aren’t his size. Murphy is the perfect age at 3.5 to 4 years old. He has great house manners, he’s potty trained and calm inside the home, but is always up for a walk or playtime. He is not a fan of the crate, an issue that can probably be worked through, but he’s so good inside the home that his foster dad trusts him to have free roam when he leaves. He’s not destructive and gets along well with the other 3 dogs in his foster home, but is not good with cats. Find out more about and apply to adopt Murphy here.

“Hello, everyone! Meet Paolo (on the left) and Matteo (on the right)! They are a devastatingly handsome pair of 6 month old kittens who were rescued from the cold outdoors at just 5 weeks old, and currently in foster care through the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA). These gorgeous boys are ready to find their forever home now, and would be the happiest kittens in the world if adopted together (HRA will adopt them out for just one adoption fee!) Paolo and Matteo are brothers and best friends, but with very different personalities. Paolo is an energetic and playful one-eyed kitten. He can make anything and everything into a toy, and he is not afraid to wake Matteo up from a nap for a good old-fashioned wrestling match. Paolo is also an incredibly social kitty and enjoys the attention of felines and humans alike. He’ll follow you around, greet you when you come home, and at the end of the day he’ll be ready to snuggle in your lap or curl up with you in bed. Having only one eye doesn’t slow him down a bit, and what he lacks in eyes, he makes up for in heart. Matteo is the baby of this duo. He loves being held and adored, and his favorite place to be is in your lap. Matteo is the reigning champ of purring in his age group, and he’ll gladly show off his skills. He purrs when he eats, when he sleeps, when he plays, when he cuddles on laps…whenever! He is a truly carefree kitten who shows his appreciation of life through purring. While his favorite activities are definitely snuggling and purring, he is also a typical kitten who likes to play and wrestle when the mood strikes him. If you are interested in adopting these adorable guys, please contact their foster mom Casey, at [email protected], check them out on HRA’s website, here and here, AND follow our adventures on Instagram, @capcitycats!”

Lucky and Dusty:
Las dos Amigas, Lucky and Dusty, traveled to DC from Puerto Rico with their buddy Ned. While they are all great friends, Lucky and Dusty really like each other a lot and would love to find a home together!

Dusty is super curious, friendly, and silly. She likes to reach out with her paw and tap you when she wants to be pet. Lucky is an ultra-glam super meowdel who gives you lots of opportunities to notice how pretty she is! She’s gorgeous and she knows it! She likes to hang out around humans, play, and cuddle. They’re an awesome pair.

To learn more about these two, email [email protected] and check out their online profiles.

Sandy:
Hi my name is Sandy! I’m looking for a calm loving home to call my own. In between naps, I enjoy following you around the house and yard, keeping you company as a faithful companion. I am friendly, confident and active with a happy-go-lucky spirit. I am looking for an all adults home with a dog savvy owner that will understand that I need some time to acclimate to new surroundings with new people before you shower me with much attention. I also would like to be the only dog in the home. A home with a fenced yard would be perfect for me but the fence needs to be secure because I’ve been known to find my way out. If you are looking for a companion and have a quiet home please come to an adoption event and give me a look-see!! Learn more about me here.
