Chaucer was right – love is blind, especially the love Homer has to share! This affectionate 3-year-old doesn’t let his blindness get in the way of his being a fluffy, playful love bug! While Homer had a rough start in life, he is thriving in his foster home, and is hopeful of finding an equally loving forever home! Homer loves humans and loves to be petted – he would likely do well with another mellow cat, but is not so much a fan of dogs. Find out more about this beautiful cuddlemonster here or email [email protected]

Say hello to Thelma and Louise! These adorable terrier besties are looking for a home together, where they can share the love they have for each other with their forever family! Sweet and silly seniors, these girls have been very fortunate, in that they are in a great foster home until they find their permanent new family, *and* a generous donor has sponsored their adoption fees! To meet this dynamic duo and find out more about adopting them, email [email protected], and check out their profiles here and here.

Foster Homes Needed!

Many local animal rescues and shelters are in critical need of foster homes at the moment.  While there is a year-round need for foster homes, demand typically peaks during mid to late summer, especially for cats and kittens.  (If you’ve ever heard of “kitten season”- it’s a real thing, and we are  in the middle of it right now!) (more…)

“Here we have our 6 year old rescue dog, Roo. She was named after the kangaroo in Winnie the Pooh. We adopted her from the Connecticut Humane Society, but she was originally born in North Carolina. Roo loves playing with her squeaky ball and cuddling with her mom and dad. Roo opens her home to foster kittens from the Humane Rescue Alliance. She has fallen in love with seven week old Ace, pictured here. Ace, along with his siblings Addie and Annie, entered our home when they were only 10 days old. Roo has helped raise them to be extremely friendly and cuddly kittens! They have their adopters lined up and will be going home with them in 2 weeks! Roo will miss them so much, but can’t wait for our next litter of foster kittens!”
