“RIP Beauregard Václav Majernik

Poor baby, angel, had a big attack and never recovered. He didn’t suffer long. I drove him to Pennsylvania and buried him underneath the pussy willow in my mom’s yard. The pussy willow originally grew on my great grandmother’s farm. We included lots of feathery toys in his grave because as a cat god he will need them in his next life. His grave is marked by a very odd grey hedgehog sculpture. Their coats match. As we finished, a train rumbled by slowly blowing its whistle, not sharp, but longingly, a lonely wail. And the Latrobe church bells started to ring…perfect.

The photos are from Friday. So handsome.”

Hi, everyone. My name is Cha-Cha, and I’m speaking to you softly because I’m something of a shy girl, who is looking for a calm and quiet home to call my own. I was found living outside, surviving on the treats kind humans would give me. While I was not suited for the outdoor cat life, I’m still getting used to interacting with humans, and tend to be cautious around new people. I’m making progress every day, and my friends at King Street Cats think I will truly blossom in a loving home where my patient and nurturing human gives me the space I need to become the incredible loving girl I can be! I’m about 3 years old, so have plenty of years of love to give to the right purr-ever family. If you’re interested in adopting a quiet and lovely lady, check out more information about me here.

Hi, everybody – meet Sonny!!! This handsome pup is a true survivor and an unashamed goofball. Sonny was found malnourished and covered in wounds – he was likely an abandoned bait dog. A good Samaritan took him to Worthy Dog, and with the help of his loving foster family, Sonny has flourished! His foster mom describes his personality as social, confident, playful, and curious. He has an active energy level and loves meeting new people and going on adventures. His leash skills have improved so much, and he has become a wonderful walking/hiking companion. Sonny would be OK as an only dog, but would likely do best with an equally playful companion. Sonny is great with kids, and loves one toy more than any other – a bucket! Take a look here (volunteer note – DO IT. It’s amazing). Sonny is a truly astonishing and resilient dog who will make his forever home a very happy and fun one! Find out more about adopting him here.

Chunky Thor is an adorable orange guy. He lost his eye in an epic battle for the universe (actually he was hit by a car and his eye was badly damaged). He is just 4 months old and his whole exciting life ahead of him! He is new to the rescue and we can’t wait to find out more about him. To join us on our journey, please apply today to meet this sweet hero!

Copeland is a silly, fun, energetic and loving young dog. He pounces on toys like a champ and is generally a goofy and happy pup. He wants to bring all of his joy to his adopter! He promises to be a good boy if you’ll give him lots of treats to help him put on some weight. Copeland has already learned “let’s go”, “sit”, “go to mat”, “trade”, “go get it”, and he is working on “come”. He would make a terrific companion for anyone with a house and yard in which he can feel secure and fully express his playful nature.

This goofy young boy loves socializing and playing, and he learns new games and commands very quickly. Copeland loves to go running, but he is also great inside. When company is over – including kids – he will make friends instantly and be the life of the party. Apply today to meet handsome Copeland!
