This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer decides he’s not going to accept the US postal service anymore so he bricks up his mailbox. So this person is refusing to accept the Yellow Book. But like Kramer, I think they are fighting a war they can not possibly win.

A small one but a nice one. This one was recommended by a reader. I was actually more taken with that mint lawn. I don’t think my lawn has seen a real blade of grass in at least four years or so.

No cell phones? I can’t decide if that is the coolest thing I’ve seen or if it is slightly insane. It’s not like it’s a movie theatre but I generally despise people’s phone conversations. So, ok, I’ve decided this is a pretty cool policy. What do you think?

So is the good deal given inflation and all?

If I had the money this is totally where I would live. In a modern apartment in an upscale building that overlooks Meridian Hill Park. (Have you been to the park at twilight in the summer? Fireflies abound and the whole area sparkles. It
Are we overly obsessed about crime?
I truly and genuinely feel that crime is overrated in terms of our day to day lives. Yes I hate it. I get infuriated when I hear (about) gunshots or muggings etc. but does it really affect your day to day life. I mean sometimes I won’t walk home late at night but don’t we obsess about crime a little too much.
