It’s all about the bay window on the one.

I’m also providing a link to an interview I did with a veteran, Master Sergeant Gary Rice, from the Old Soldier’s Home in Petworth.
Red Rocks at llth and Park will be serving brunch from 11am-4pm with bottomless mimosas and $5 bloody mary’s. I’m also told they’ve just added french toast to the brunch list. But they’ll also be serving their regular menu during brunch for people who need their pizza fix.

I’m guessing the certification sticker is for the authorities and not for the customer’s benefit? I suppose I’d prefer a metered cab but if it’s 2:30 in the morning I’m not passing a cab up just because it’s not meter certified.

“Mark your calendar and start cleaning out your attic and basement! Tell all your friends!
Saturday, June 14, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm is the Annual HMP Yard Sale to be held once again at 3303 18th St. (the corner of 18th and Park Road).
This is our biggest fund raiser of the year and it is also one of the most environmentally friendly and fun ways to get rid of your (former) treasures and to stock up on some new ones. This is recycling at its best. We will be offering HMP merchandise and refreshments for sale as well. Join your neighbors for a really exciting day of treasure hunting!”
Details after the jump. (more…)

I hope someone was able to use them but it just seems like an odd thing to leave out. Do you think it was left out for someone who was shoeless or was it left for someone who would walk past it, stop and say damn those are some sweet kicks?

So a colleague of mine told me about this place a while ago but I still haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. She says it pretty fresh in a very unpretentious way. I can’t remember the name but that doesn’t matter because there is no signage only this red marking. It is located on 14th Street north of U Street a few storefronts down from Marvin’s. So I’m dying to know about this place. I’ll be checking it out soon but was wondering if any folks have already been?

Adams Morgan has some of the most amazing apartments you can find in D.C.–not only because of the night life, but because of the panoramic rooftop views. Some friends of mine just moved into the area near Columbia Street Road, and they have a clear shot of the Washington monument, the capital building, and of the National Cathedral–a view that will simultaneously make you gasp and hate your friends for living in such a cooler place than your own.
Well, this place boasts just those kind of views. $2,550 including utilities for a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on Columbia and 16th. Not only does it have a rooftop “oasis,” but the views from within the apartment abound from all angles as well. Of course, amidst such luxory, the kitchen is fully as you’d expect, with stainless steel appliances, designer ceiling fans (!) and hardwood floors. The complex also has a fitness center and a wireless cafe. More rentals after the jump. (more…)
