And at long last another sweet vestibule. I was going through some vestibule withdrawal there for a minute.

So, just curious, are you all supporters of autumn wreaths?

This is a pretty unusual one. When do you think this was built 50s, 60s? Dig it?

I think these decks look super cool. But I’m wondering – do people really use multiple decks? I guess you could have one off of the bedroom and one off the kitchen? Does anyone have multiple decks? When would you use one over the other?

And on which one would you take your morning cup of coffee…?

I was certain it wasn’t for laundry. As I was staring at it an extremely nice neighbor came out of his house and politely asked me what I was doing? He solved the mystery. It is actually a fireplace that was added to the kitchen (I think). So it’s a chimney. Pretty cool, yeah? Would you dig a fireplace in your kitchen?

I thought this was an interesting one given some of the prices we’ve seen for rowhomes divided into condos. This is a complete rowhome located at 3707 35 Street, NW in Cleveland Park. The flier says:

“Charming Cleveland Park town home. Living room with fireplace and built-in bookshelves. New oak floors & molding in LR and dining room. Remodeled kitchen w/ Energy Star appliances, Jenn Air gas range & glass door to deck. 3 bedrooms upstairs and new luxury bath with Kohler fixtures. Attached garage and large fenced-in yard. Walk to Metro, restaurants & shops.”

More photos and info can be found here.

The price has dropped from $789,000 to $729,000.

I’m curious to know what you think about this one – good deal or not?

Coming from New York originally, my gold standard is Peter Lugar’s steakhouse. I’ve yet to discover a steak that amazing. But someone was just telling that there is an incredible place somewhere in Rosslyn. Does that ring a bell to anyone?

I’ve had a damn good steak at Morton’s. But are there any hidden gems out there? Where’s the best of the best?

Here were the recommendations for best expensive, BBQ, tapas, bar to watch football, wine bar, Chinese, Latino/Mexican, hidden restaurants, Italian, Sushi, Indian, falafel, Ethiopian, and Middle Eastern.

The Lacey being built over the Florida Grill on 11th street looks like the outside is nearly completed. I was told that 13 of the 26 units have already sold. The drawings on their Web site look pretty sweet. So now that the outside of the building is nearly complete what do you think? I’m digging the balconies.
