I think I smell a series brewing… So, what the hell is this? Was the bucket placed there when the tree was just a sapling? Or is this just pure randomness?

Taylor Gourmet located at 1116 H St. NE serves a mean sandwich. Starting today, Thursday 3/26 they will be open every Thursday,Friday & Saturday until 3:30am. Both the store & delivery. I’m always psyched to hear about new late night eating options.

If you look past the security bars there is a great door and some sweet stained glass up top.

A castle in the city. What can I say? I like curved rooms…

I posted a couple of interior shots last week but received a bunch more from their soft opening. The restaurant and lounge located at 14th and T, NW will open to the public on Thursday, March 26th starting at 5pm.
Lots more photos after the jump. (more…)

Following along the lines of yesterday’s city sign, I thought I’d continue the theme with this supermarket sign located at 1231 11th Street, NW in Shaw. Any fans of this spot?

Dang, I can’t remember what street this is but you can see a Truxton Circle Banner…
So I’m wondering what folks think of the combination of red brick with the tan stone. Thumbs up or down?

I like this black and white shot of Capitol Hill from hellomarkers!

This is a pretty unusual home. Notice the two front doors – do you think the whole structure is part of this deal or are they two separate homes? I think it must be the whole structure. Pretty sweet. What do you think of the house itself? It’s on the market for $1,249,000.

Most people agree that Bistrot Du Coin, located at 1738 Connecticut Avenue, NW, makes a mean French Onion Soup but I thought it’d be worth an overall review. You can see the menu here. So any fans out there? What’s good besides the soup?
