Thanks to all who sent emails to congratulate me. I was a bit surprised as I came in behind the two juggernauts – Wonkette and DCist. Since I didn’t campaign for this honor I certainly didn’t expect it. And it is truly super sweet. So thanks to everyone who voted PoP for best local blog.

“We in no way regret paying $849,750 for this house two years ago.”
Please email me directly so I can get you a t-shirt.

This beauty was sent in by a reader. This is the same reader who sent in this gem. I dare you to look at this cover without laughing. Impossible.

I’ve always wondered if there were fans of these tires that have been converted into planters. I’m gonna give them a thumbs up when they have nice flowers in them. Do you like ’em?

This house is a pure beauty. I dig the windows on the third floor as well as the stone and columns on the first floor. Dope sky for sure.

The picture really says it all…

This is the spot where the new bar called Meridian Pint will be opened by Aslyum owner, John Andrade. Any predictions on when you think it’ll be finished? Seems like they’re making good progress now as the lower level has been fully dug out.

Sometimes less is more as they say. This one really speaks to me…
So if you feel the same way, come to Solly’s (11th and U Streets, NW) at 7 pm for a very casual PoP happy hour!

This one from Truxton Circle is interesting because the pop up is not vinyl it seems to be brick. Thumbs up or down?

Here’s a great shot from Andy in Park View of lovely Lamont St.
