From WMATA:

“Metro will begin track work over the weekend, August 12-13, that will require single tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory stations, reducing service on the Blue and Orange lines to every 24 minutes. Welp, after 3.5 years Covid finally got me. Walloped me pretty good but starting to feel much better now! But hopefully you haven’t noticed here. Anyway, I’ve been quarantined from my family and watching a fair bit of Netflix when I can’t read anymore. So, having just finished Beauty Queen of Jerusalem (on Netflix), I’m ready for another good foreign series. What are some foreign series you’ve enjoyed recently? (we had a fun chat about this back in 2012.) Please let us know what service the show streams on too.

Lots of folks have been asking: “Do you have any news on what happened between 17th and DuPont Circle on P? Police blocked off all entrances to that area with cars and tape”

“why P Street NW, between 17th and 18th is closed? Even giving pedestrians grief, so maybe it’s some kind of security thing?”

ss comments:”It was a hit and run. Bicyclist killed by car around 3am. I live on the block and spoke to a police officer.

Anyone hear anything? Will update as we learn more.
