“Went to Tiffany’s Bar and Bistro. Quick review: really large space, including a big dining and bar space upstairs and a patio. We got the hummas app, scallop and chicken entrees. Food was really solid (chicken > scallops imo). Service was great (s/o Fatima). Value-wise it was ish but reasonable for a spot aiming for fine dining. Overall would 100% recommend stopping by.” (more…)

“Our restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a celebration of authentic halal cuisine served with heart.

From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with the rich aroma of sizzling grills, warm spices, and freshly prepared meals made just for you.

We specialize in Mediterranean-inspired street food, bringing bold, smoky flavors to every plate — from juicy kebabs and tender chicken to hearty rice bowls and wraps.

Whether you’re dining in, grabbing a quick bite, or ordering for the whole family, DC Bites promises quality, cleanliness, and a taste you won’t forget.”

Thanks to Randy for sending: “2600 block of Conn. AV where Mr. Chen was for a long time. Two workers seen inside at 9:30 Mon. Night.” (more…)

From an email:

“West Porch Fridays and will take place at the West Carriage Porch of Union Station. That site has historically been a destination for food and produce and we’re bringing that back every Friday from 1130am – 330pm starting June 27. The series runs until September 26. It’ll include vendors selling produce (two different farms, excited about the range of their offerings given what’s in season), bread, preserves and syrups, greens, dried herbs, ice cream, hot sauce, beer and other fun items. There will also be a hot food vendor from New Orleans called Mardi Gras Munchies.

Here’s the list of vendors for the 27th: (more…)
