Back in January we first learned Arcuri would be taking over the Kavanagh’s Pizza Pub space in Glover Park. After extensive renovations Arcuri will be soft opening next week with a grand opening June 22nd. (Lunch service should start around the 19th of June.)
“The Arcuri name is the namesake of owner, Bryce Gerlach’s great grandfather. Rosario Antonio Arcuri was born in Nicastro Italy on January 19, 1895.”
They’ll have 14 beers on tap including Bell’s Oberon, Racer 5, Founder’s All Day, DC Brau Public, Jack’s Cider, Troegenator, Ommegang Hennepin, Victory Love, Allagash Curieux, and more in bottles and cans. They’ll have a nice selection of wines and prosecco. Ah, I almost forgot – they’ll also have house made Limoncello (I took a taste yesterday and it’s awesome.) Maybe even better (I didn’t get a chance to try it but it sounds sweet) they’ll also have frozen house Limoncello and frozen berry limoncella.
As for the menu you can expect to find Salumi, Crostino, risoto, meatballs, prosciutto wrapped cod, wood fired pork chop, pollo al daviolo, and many pizza options. I stopped by yesterday afternoon for some photos have a look:
Many more photos after the jump.
They’ll be completely redoing their outdoor patio which should seat around 25

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
