CoCo - Rural Dog Rescue

CoCo – Rural Dog Rescue

Coco is a stunning 1-2 year old female lab mix from Rural Dog Rescue.  Courtesy of Canine Trade Group, Coco is house and crate trained, heels on a leash, and knows her basic commands, among others.  With all her lab energy, she would do best with an experienced owner/couple with a fenced yard or who will take her on as their standing running partner.  While some dogs don’t like how hard she plays, Coco likes other dogs.  You can apply to adopt or foster Coco, or any of our animals, by sending the adoption or foster application to ruraldogrescue16@gmail.  You can meet her and others this Saturday, April 27, at Wagtime Too, 900 M Street SE from noon to 3 p.m.
Bliss - Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

Bliss – Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

Bliss is a super-cute 1 year old female shepherd mix from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.   Bliss still has plenty of puppy in her and would do best with a very active owner, as she’s energetic, young, and loves romping around.  She’s great with people and kids, but she is a little stronger than she realizes, so older kids would be best.  Bliss is a little picky with her K-9 friends, but that’s true of all good girls, right?  You can apply to adopt Bliss by completing our adoption questionnaire and emailing it to Holly at Hollyc@luckydoganimalrescue.org!  Our next event is this Sunday, April 28, at Unleashed by Petco, 1101 South Joyce Street, Arlington, VA (Pentagon Row) from noon until 2 p.m.
Pebbles - City Dogs Rescue
Pebbles – City Dogs Rescue

Pebbles is a young, male Plott Hound 1-2 years old and 55 lbs from City Dogs Rescue.  He is young, active and curious and would love to go to a forever home or foster where he can go for runs, play in dog parks, go hiking, and other adventures.  He wants his new owner to be his leader, as he is still a young dog growing up in the world.  Pebbles is eager to be your new best buddy!  You can apply to foster Pebbles, or another one of our available dogs, through our foster page or apply to adopt on our adoption page.  You can also meet Pebbles at our next event, Growlers and Howlers, this Saturday, April 27, at DC Brau from noon until 4 p.m.
Continues after the jump.
Addie - Homeward Trails
Addie – Homeward Trails Animal Rescue
Addie is a beautiful 2 year old Maine Coon-looking momma cat from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.  Though Addie used to be a shy girl, she now craves attention.  She would love an adult home or home with older children where she can shine and receive all of your affection.  But, this gentle girl is also fine alone while her people are at work.  If you would like to adopt Addie, please complete our cat adoption questionnaire and email it to [email protected].  You can also check out our other adoptables on our website or at our next cat adoption events this Saturday, April 27, at the PetMAC Washington, DC (4220 Fessenden St. NW) and Arlington, VA (822 North Kenmore Street) locations from noon until 2 p.m.
Matty - Tails High

Matty Graystone – Tails High, Inc.
Matty is a senior, long-haired female cat from Tails High, Inc.  Matty lived as a stray for four years, but in the past few months, she has been learning how very nice people can be!  While not a lap cat just yet, she purrs when petted, lifts her head for kisses, dances and sings for her meals, and can be found at the foot of the bed in the morning.  Matty would love to find an adult home and be your one very special girl.  If you would like to adopt Matty, or any of our adoptable cats and kittens, please complete the adoption application on our website.  You can also visit us at one of our upcoming events!
Justice - NoVa Cat Clinic
Justice – NoVa Cat Clinic
Justice is an affectionate and healthy 8 year old Himalayan beauty from NoVa Cat Clinic.  Justice was thrown down a condo building’s trash chute and, thankfully, was found by the building’s cleaning crew.  With much care, Justice has since made a full recovery and has been staying at NoVa Cat Clinic while she looks for a furever home.  She is the epitome of a lap cat – she loves to be around people, is an expert snuggler, and is always purring.  Justice would love to be your only cat and give you the affection of many!  If you are interested in adopting Justice, please contact NoVa Cat Clinic at (703) 525-1955 or NoVaCatClinic@gmail.com.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
