From a press release:

Well known for their beer selection, the Bier Baron is the secret gem in Washington D.C. for live entertainment. Bier, food and now live entertainment! Located at 1523 22nd St. NW the Bier Baron is the only venue in Dupont Circle providing a variety of shows.

The Bier Baron offers a 240 person capacity venue in an intimate saloon style setting. With a great stage, the showroom can be arranged for any occasion, live music concert, theater, burlesque and sideshow, art shows, or Dj event. Shows can have tabletop service for dinner and a show or standing room only for dance nights. We are equipped with audio and visual equipment.

The Bier Baron’s aim is to offer an assortment of entertainment for the eclectic taste, like our beer selection.

As other venues are opening around town, one may ask, who needs another place to go see another show? The uniqueness of the Bier Baron as a viable venue is in its history as a tavern. Formally the Brickskellar, offering a vast beer selection and use to be a destination point for music. The Bier Baron is maintaining its beer and live entertainment tradition. The Bier Baron maintains over 600 selections of beer and 50 on rotating tap. The venue lends itself to host small to medium size local and touring bands. The venue looks to fill a gap in DC metro area by offering a priority for local bands. Local acts such as Jonny Grave and the Tombstones have already graced the Bier Baron stage and up coming local talent include Davey Brown and Nayas. The Bier Baron will be booking acts such as, americana, acoustic, latino alternative, jazz, blues, rockabilly and rock and roll band.

That’s not all, with the closing of the Red Palace, the venue has given burlesque and sideshow a home. Fans can continue to see Cheeky Monkey Side Show and Black Tassel Boolesque among others. Sideshow and Burlesque classes starting soon.

We judged Bier Baron back in Feb. 2011.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
