Off Road Indoor Cycling will have an open house this Sunday. From a press release:

Off Road Indoor Cycling opens on October 15 on U Street as a state-of-the-art cycling studio with a wide variety of instructors and classes for anyone looking for a great workout.

Off Road is the first specialized cycling studio in DC to offer virtual rides and features the newest line of bikes equipped with monitors to track riders’ workouts. In addition to a large variety of cycling classes, Off Road is committed to challenging students with some of the most innovative and proven fitness classes such as TRX and boxing.

“We provide a place that anyone can drop in, workout, and have fun,” said Off Road’s co-owner Tammar Berger. “From triathletes to busy Washingtonians looking for a great workout that fits their hectic schedules, everyone will work up a sweat and know they got an amazing workout.”

WHAT:Off Road invites the community to an open house on October 14 in advance of the studio’s October 15 opening. Instructors will provide free 30 minute sample cycling classes throughout the day, available on a first come basis, for individuals to become familiar with the diversity of classes, top-rated instructors, and latest bikes.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
