Dear PoPville – Union Station Construction?

Columbus Plaza Renovation

“Dear PoPville,

Any idea how much longer we can expect the construction at Union Station to continue?”

There are actually two renovations going on. First is the Columbus Plaza renovation out front – DDOT says:

“The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced plans are in place to start construction on the rehabilitation of Columbus Plaza and Massachusetts Avenue at Union Station. The construction activities for this $7.8 million project will start on Monday, September 12, 2011 and take approximately 18-months to complete.”

So about 6 more months there.

The renovation inside Union Station was slated to be completed in April but a lot of what we’re seeing now is due to the earthquake damage. You can read about the repairs here.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
