From WMATA:

The Massachusetts Avenue Line, Route N2 only, will be rerouted between Friendship Heights Station and Ward Circle to Wisconsin and Nebraska Avenues via the routing and schedule that existed prior to September 25, 2011. This change will restore the connection between Cathedral Avenue and Tenleytown requested by customers.

On the Park Road Brookland Line, Routes H8 and H9, several trips that operate only on days when Carroll High School is open will be discontinued due to low ridership. The affected trips are the H8 departures from Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Station at 11:33 a.m. and 2:47 p.m. and H9 trips from Carroll High School at 11:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

In addition, the following trips on the H8 and H9 will be discontinued due to low ridership:
• Departing Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Station at 2:31 and 3:06 a.m. on Fridays and at 2:35 and 3:08 a.m. on Saturdays.
• Departing Mount Pleasant at 2:28 and 3:03 a.m. on Fridays and at 2:36 and 3:09 a.m. on Saturdays.

Routes 62, 64, A4, D2, D8, G2, U4, U5, W2, W6, W8: Certain late Friday and Saturday night trips will be eliminated due to low ridership. Click the link for details.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
