If you’ve ever spent any time wandering the streets around Dupont Circle and wondered what it would take to snap up an entire house that’s already been completely renovated, this would kind of be your answer. Just like most neighborhoods in DC, houses in Dupont come in a range of sizes, styles, and conditions. Even in rough condition, an entire home in Dupont does not come cheap, nor is it an easy find these days.

Continues after the jump.

In terms of Good Deal or Not Revisiteds (GDoN-R), I enjoy the occasional shock value of Capitol Hill, where prices tend to exceed the expectations of NW dwelling folk. Consider, however, the highest sale in Capitol Hill so far in 2011 went for been a mere $1,500,000. for five bedrooms worth of space (two bedrooms in the basement) on a 2000+ square foot lot. The subject of today’s post, on the other hand, has just two bedrooms upstairs and one in the basement, and sits on a not too big/not too small typical for a DC rowhome 1710 square foot lot.

The listing does make mention that the home “has undergone a careful renovation by a noted designer” (Gregory Brennan). Mr. Brennan purchased the property in May 2010 for a net price of $1,035,000. Want to see what seven figures buys that still could use a complete renovation? You can see the Before pics by opening the listing link here and scrolling through the arrows on the main pic.

Dupont has had a busy year so far. Here are all the listings for house sales since the beginning of 2011, ordered from highest list price to lowest.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
