“This caught my eye on my walk this morning. It’s a basement door on the side of an apartment building on Kennedy Street (or Kenndy St, as the sign says). I did a little sleuthing and found that The Washington Sun was a weekly newspaper that started in the mid 1960s. The publisher lived in Brightwood, so

it would make sense that the newspaper might have its office there. I wondered about the “NEW” designation – maybe that was to indicate that it was under new ownership by Mr Cooke in 1968.”
