The sign says:
“TEMPORARY CLOSURE FOR SCHEDULED RESTORATION WORK
This lower level reflecting pool is temporarily closed to complete the planned final phase of restoration activities following the reopening of Meridian Hill Cascading Fountain. Once the work is complete, the pool will reopen for visitor enjoyment.
Work includes protective treatments and installing permanent fountain components for the pool’s preservation.
Work is expected to take approximately one week. Please check posted notices or our website for updates on reopening.
All other areas of the fountain and park remain open.
Thank you for your continued support as we restore this historic space. We look forward to welcoming you back to the fully restored pool soon.
