I was cycling south on the MBT near R Street NE Tuesday night (6/09) around 8:30 when I witnessed three young teens (maybe 12-13 years old) riding a single Lime scooter. They appeared to be
weaving back and forth around walkers and runners, getting super close and swiping at people before turning away at the last second. I even saw one of them spit at a person walking on the trail.
I have read plenty of stories about teens harassing folks on the trail. MPD does not seem to care, so I would advise trail users to be aware of their surroundings.”
