I hope you can help me track down some good samaritans who helped me at the Shaw dog park on Sunday (5/31) around 12:30pm. I was bitten by a dog and multiple people helped by calling 911, assisting me, and helping my dog. I am so grateful so many people came together, especially,
Nancy, the EMT, who was not at the park but stopped to assist
The former Navy man who wrapped my leg and made a tourniquet out of his dog leash (his dog’s name is Miller!)
The woman in the black shirt who held my hand and consoled me
The woman in the purple shirt who held my dog until my friends came to get him
And the multiple people who called 911 and then made sure I had the contact information for the dog owner (who stayed around the entire time!).
I received great care from the EMTs and at Georgetown MedStar and am at home healing up but would love to connect with everyone to share my gratitude.”
