Little Free Library

Remember that Sweet Letter Found in a Little Free Library Book? We Found Jackie!!

Jackie wrote in and is getting her letter back this weekend:

“It was written by my paternal grandma (who just celebrated her 90th birthday). I cannot believe this letter was found! The person is incredible for going to these lengths to return it to me. I can’t believe I’m able to get this letter back. Thank you SO much for creating this space for the community.”

ICYMI:

“A couple years ago, I randomly took a copy of Ann Patchett’s “State of Wonder” out of a Little Free Library in NW. I have my favorites but I can’t be sure exactly which one, or exactly when this was. Probably in Mt. Pleasant or Columbia Heights, circa 2024. Today I flipped through for the first time and discovered this beautiful handwritten letter from a grandmother to her granddaughter, Jackie, dated August 23, 2003, tucked inside. I think I speak for many of us when I say that I wish I had more letters from my grandparents like this.”
