Thanks to Rachel for sending: “Warby Parker in Shaw is closing soon! According to staff at the new Warby Parker in Logan Circle. Closes Jan 10!“

Warby Parker opened their Logan Circle location at 14th and R Street, NW in late November:
“Logan Circle will make it easier for our Washington D.C. shoppers to access all of their eyewear needs.
This store will be equipped with Warby Parker’s full optical and sunglass assortment — including the brand’s latest Winter 2025 collection, Kids frames — designed for little ones from ages 4-8 — third-party contact lenses, accessories, and eye exams to-come.
Shoppers can take advantage of Warby Parker’s Add a Pair and Save promotion, receiving 15% off when they buy two (or more!) pairs of prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses—no promo code required.
The store will feature original artwork from French artist Lisa Laubreaux.
Additionally, the opening supports Warby Parker’s ongoing community impact efforts through the Pupils Project, the brand’s program that provides free eye exams and eyeglasses to students in need across Boston, Newark, D.C., and now the greater Baltimore area.”
Warby Parker opened their Shaw location at 9th and Florida Ave, NW (U Street) back in 2015:
“Customers will be greeted by a soft-glowing individually-lit lettered sign and inside, they will find elegant displays of books, custom brass library lamps, and leather seating aplenty (for reading and relaxing). Suspended globe lighting, custom checkered terrazzo tiled floors, and a selection of books sourced from our favorite independent publishers (also for sale to take home) invite you to stay a while, whether just lounging or contemplating frame choices. We’re overjoyed that our friend and artist, Maira Kalman, has collaborated with us for our Shaw location: her distinctive (and incredible) drawings will line the walls of our new store.”
Updates when we learn what becomes of that space after January.
