“In November, the Federal government officially stopped minting pennies. This was not a retirement, it was a murder.
To honor our fallen friend, we are holding a very serious funeral on December 20 at 1:01 PM.
BYOP (bring your own penny) to pay your respects.
Let’s give the little copper hero the send off it deserves.
Dress code
Funeral garb (black clothes, black veil, watery eyes) or Abraham Lincoln costumes. Heavy emphasis on Victorian clothing.
Guest speakers
Eulogies are still being written but expect a real Lincoln family descendant, Mary Todd Lincoln, a coin appraiser, a Treasury Department representative and other famous mourners.”
