I walk by these buildings often, and have been a Shaw resident for 20+ years so I know the probable answer to this question, but I thought maybe there might be some momentum by the DC govt and/or Shiloh after
The buildings still look pretty boarded up and abandoned as usual, and continue to be a fire hazard.
Channel 9 had this quote from Shiloh at the time:
WUSA9 reached out to the church for comment about the neighbor’s concerns. Their statement added, “There is no additional information to share at this time, as the fire is currently under investigation. Pastor Smith, the Trustees, and the Deacon Chairs will release an official statement at the appropriate time. We thank you for your continued prayers and cooperation during this time. ” Church leaders also thanked the swift work of the first responders and DC officials.”
