“Dear PoPville,
16th St Heights used to be a great place to live when it was a neighborhood, but nowadays it’s a construction zone, with multiple contractors cutting and digging and generally causing a racket five and sometimes six days a week. Particularly troublesome is that some of the work is a repeat of what another contractor had already cut or dug up, at taxpayer and ratepayer expense.

Ten days ago or so, after much cutting and digging, the city repaved the entire stretch of Gallatin between 13th and 14th streets. What did I see there yesterday? A contractor cutting through the newly paved street. It’s maddening.”
