Oglethorpe and Oneida and 5th. (facing north)
“Dear PoPville,
I saw the post of the Metrobus off the road at 5th and Longfellow today and the comment about stop signs on the corridor.

Oneida (first facing north, second facing south)
This is an issue all the way up 5th, with problem 2-way stops that should be 4-way stop intersections of there, 5th and Emerson NW, 5th and Oglethorpe NW, and 5th and Oneida NW, with a bonus dangerous intersection of 3rd and Rittenhouse NW. Multiple requests for stop signs with no action from the city for years. Residents can only guess that it’s because of the bus line, but there are plenty other stop signs and the intersections are very dangerous, with many pedestrians, schools, daycares, the temporary housing shelter on 5th and Kennedy, to name a few reasons to get cars and buses to slow down.

“Between cars getting up to speed between Nicholson and Peabody and drivers on Oglethorpe and Oneida pulling into traffic thinking that they have the right-of-way when they don’t, it’s a disaster waiting to happen.”
