My partner and I were walking my dog this morning when we came upon Steam Valve Espresso, a deaf and women-owned small business in the Right Proper Brewing Shaw location.
We had never heard of them and it turns out they just opened a month ago (in Shaw, they have been around for a while at the Brookland Right Proper location). Our barista, Cajal, was great, as was the coffee, and they have delicious-looking pastries, a ton of seating, and are dog-friendly! Cajal also told us they plan to start serving breakfast and lunch in September.”
