One Saturday this summer, I’m hoping to host a field day with friends, involving silly competitions requiring some grassy space, ideally with nearby shade.
Do you have any recommendations of picnic/grassy areas in DC or nearby that we can A)
reserve or B) have faith in coming a bit early and informally “reserving”? Though we wouldn’t get rowdy, bonus points if we can get away with drinking alcohol. And bonus points for proximity to bathrooms. All of the reservable picnic areas in Rock Creek are booked for every available Saturday that we can feasibly work with.”
