From a press release:

“nailsaloon, D.C.’s leading purveyor of premium nail and beauty care service, is thrilled to announce the opening of its fourth location in the historic Parks at Walter Reed. This milestone signifies an exciting chapter in the company’s growth story, revolutionizing the salon industry with a refreshing, client-centered approach.

The fourth location transforms the conventional salon layout, and follows the nailsaloon’s ethos of replacing assigned stations for nail technicians with 10 manicure and 10 pedicure stations with client-determined seating, allowing for pairs and groups to enjoy their luxurious treatments together. Consistent with nailsaloon’s commitment to well-being, the new location incorporates state-of-the-art source ventilation at each station, ensuring an odor-free environment devoid of polish fumes to benefit its patrons and staff alike. As always, nailsaloon will continue to delight patrons with an eclectic array of beverages, from refreshing juices, to sodas, wines, beers, and caffeinated options; and carry women-owned, non-toxic polish lines, including D.C.’s beloved Mischo Beauty and the coveted Dazzle Dry.

“We’re excited to join the historic Parks at Walter Reed neighborhood, brimming with vibrancy and dynamism” says Andréa Vieira, owner of nailsaloon. “There’s a special effervescence bubbling there, so we’re in countdown mode to contribute to – and share in – all that energy and pamper our clients in the best way we know how.” Architectural and interior designer par excellence, David Pilkenton, the mastermind behind Walter Reed’s design that integrates a true hospitality experience with nail salon services, shares this sentiment. “People crave an external sanctuary to unwind and rediscover themselves. Working with Andréa, a beacon of clarity and openness, has made this venture an exploration of boundless ideas, transforming her vision into a client-focused oasis that we believe nailsaloon The Parks at Walter Reed clients will cherish.”

The inauguration of the fourth nailsaloon at The Parks at Walter Reed marks an epoch in the company’s journey, expanding its reach, serving a broader clientele, and reinforcing its mission to provide transcendent nail care experiences in the most intentional and elevated way possible.
Located in the Plaza, adjacent to Whole Foods, the new nailsaloon sits at the intersection of luxury and accessibility, will be reachable by the metro, and offers ample parking opportunities. nailsaloon bookings can be made through their website or by calling the salon directly.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
