I’ve lived in DC for about 7 years now and have struggled with the intellectual book clubs of our uber-smart city. So here I go starting my own! This book club is designed for escapist popular fiction–think Reese’s book club, mystery/psychological thrillers, page turners that make you forget about the terrible day you had at work but also don’t require you to use your brain too much.
Below is a starter schedule,
but I’m hoping there’s enough demand to can take suggestions down the line.
May 16th @6:30pm- First Lie Wins, Ashley Elston
June 13th@6:30pm- One of the Good Guys, Araminta Hall
July 18th @6:30pm- The Housemaid, Freida McFadden
August 29th@6:30pm- Yellowface, R. F. Kuang
The first meeting will be here in Adams Morgan with snacks and drinks!
