“That asphalt patch indicates that line repairs were done. Either a new line or a new valve for improved water pressure. You’re looking at an old fire hydrant soon to be removed and a new, somewhat bashful one, soon to be connected. Think of new stop lights under burlap cover.”
DC Water replies:
“Good morning , thanks for the alert. Sending this over to the hydrant team for a fix. For an update please reach out to our command center 202-612-3400”

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
