Lunar New Year Celebration Fundraiser!

“Dear PoPville,

A group of us working in DC’s food & beverage community (HAAPI DC) are hosting a Lunar New Year celebration at Lost Generation.

The event will include: unlimited drinks, small bites from your favorite local chefs (Justin Ahn of Incheon, Erik Bruner-Yang of Maketto, Tim Ma of Any Day Now, and more), and a lion dance performance!

Through the generosity of our hosts and partners, we’re donating all of the proceeds raised by the tickets to the 1882 Foundation, which is working to revitalize DC’s Chinatown as a cultural hub.

Details

Date & Time: Monday, February 12, 7:30-10:30pm
Venue: Lost Generation Brewery, 327 S St NE, Washington, DC 20002

If you aren’t able to attend in person, you will be able to participate in our silent auction – virtually we’re auctioning off some fun experiences, like a kimchi class with Patrice of Taegu Kimchi and having a cocktail named after you on the Bar Spero menu.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
