IMAX has been out of operation at the AMC Georgetown 14 location for several months. Spoke with the manager last night and he said the refurb is finished (upgraded projector to dual laser, upgraded sound system), but is waiting for a DC government inspection.
He said that’s taking longer since it’s an old building. He said it will “for sure” be ready for Dune 2 release in early March. The seats have been replaced, he said, but they are still not recliners.”
