Del Sur Closed in Dupont on December 2nd

2016 P Street, NW

Thanks to Shawn for sending the sad news about the “best pisco sour in town!!”, Del Sur, which opened here back in January 2020.

Del Sur’s shared a farewell on their IG:

“It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the news that Del Sur Cafe will be closing

its doors at the end of this month. We opened in January of 2020, two and half months before the shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many restaurants and other small businesses did not survive and those that did continue to struggle. We tried our best, but in the end it was not enough. We hope that you understand that this was not an easy decision to make.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our customers, friends, and family who supported this dream, helped us make it a reality, and to those who have continued to show up.

We want to thank all of our staff—the busboys, servers, cooks, and dishwashers who have worked as a team to create and maintain the quality of our dishes and high level customer experience that has earned us a 4.8 out of 5 star rating on Google.

Finally we would like to thank our chef Debora Christ who has served as an invaluable leader both in and outside of the kitchen. She is the creative vision behind Del Sur Cafe and is responsible for the amazing food that has made us what we are.

We invite you to stop in from now until our closing date of Saturday December 2nd”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
