“Parachute Pizza will be swooping into Union Market this fall [Wednesday, November 15th] with Sicilian-style slices and pies. Behind the concept are Sebastian Zutant and Erin Im (Primrose), and Chef Oliver Friendly (Primrose, Eat & Smile Catering). While Zutant, Im, and Friendly are linked with Brookland restaurant, Primrose, Parachute Pizza is an independent project.
The trio share a deep appreciation for Sicilian-style pizza. “Sicilian style checks all my boxes for quality pizza: crispy, olive-oily-yet-airy crust, a thicker tomato sauce, and a good layer of delicious mozzarella cheese,” says Chef Oliver, who will oversee the Parachute Pizza kitchen.
Parachute Pizza is slated to open in early Fall with lunch and dinner hours seven days a week; dine-in and grab-and-go service with 4-6 pizzas featuring classic ingredients, seasonal pies, as well as a gluten-free option; oysters, salads, and garlic knots; and bar service highlighting local beers and wines.”
