Stand near Milkbar on 15th St and you’ll hear a loud beep every 45 seconds. It’s from an alarm to the left of Milkbar’s “1525” sign above their entrance. It flashes red as it beeps.
I emailed them three weeks ago when it began and visited every day for a week, to no avail. 311 said no crime is being committed and referred me to the Department of Buildings to request an inspection. White noise helps drown out this maddening noise. Also, earlier this year it beeped for four months, so it’s an ongoing issue that they seem uninterested in addressing.”
